I can hardly believe that I have not written in my blog since mid-August. Well, obviously not much to report.
Darcy and I spent 3 days at BCSSA Provincials in Abbotsford. We stayed at the Best Western and commuted to the pool bright and early each morning. I volunteered at the Member Services all weekend long. Highlights was a visit by Brent Hayden and then the Olympic mascots. It was nice to get away...but this is it. Darcy is now retired as the SF Regional Director. He did make a last minute decision to allow his name to stand for Provincial Treasurer but in the end the entire Lower Mainland was not enough since the Kootenays and the Okanagan have so many clubs that it came down to that. The tough thing thing is that there no representation on the Provincial board except for Cindi who lives down on the Lower Mainland to keep an eye on operations at the main office!!!
Other news...well Karen at work made her decision to move on so for the next little while I am doing alot of work at Glen Pine thank goodness with Joanne's assistance until things are figured out by the powers that be. As we head back into Fall programs etc...all I can say is VERY busy plus with Wings starting up again for a new season tomorrow!!!

Caiti, James and Zara were home for the long weekend...they left this morning. Chrissy is on her reading/work experience break so she will be around for a couple of weeks. Just think that come end of November she will have graduated from her program. So far she has done fashion show and one photo shoot and another one slated for the end of the month!
Darcy has been working on some contracts and a current BCSSA project that will hopefully wrap up soon. He has had a couple of interviews and but expected the slowdown in the process over the summer... the consulting assignments work in the interim albeit full of uncertainty.

So, here we are into September...chance to change things around and move forward as always!!!
I am glad you finally wrote girl.....its been ages .
ReplyDeleteThese kids are sure growing up fast eh? Nice Chrissy will be done soon too. Good for her to have that degree...she deserves it. Allison (Krista's friend) starts at Glen Eagle tomorrow grade 12 in the hair dressing program for the year. She is very excited...but will miss the school buds daily...off to put my lovely garbage can out on the road.
